Sarah is half Canadian, half Spanish, and Nathan is Italian-American, so we know exactly what it feels like to move countries and start from zero.

We met four years ago studying at the University of Groningen. Since then, Sarah has been living in the Netherlands and is now completing her Master’s degree in Rotterdam, while Nathan spent many years in The Hague and is currently studying his degree at Tilburg University.

Along the way, we searched for housing many  cities  and lived through the chaos of the Dutch student housing hunt.  And trust us… it’s not fun.

Moving between so many cities made us understand how the Dutch housing market works. Over the years, we’ve gotten pretty good at spotting problems and figuring out how to fix them. 

That’s why we started this project — to make housing viewings and the entire search process easier, safer, and less stressful for international students moving to the Netherlands, by helping them avoid scams, fake listings, and houses that look very different in real life.
